You are a reliable and hardworking individual who is capable of carrying out physically demanding tasks in an outdoor setting. You work effectively as a team and are committed to maintaining high standards. You are well aware of health and safety procedures and are willing to work in all weather conditions. You are punctual, able to follow instructions and work to schedules. Having experience in street cleansing, grounds maintenance or waste collection is desirable, but not essential.
What the job involves
As a temporary leaf clearance operative, you will be part of our street cleaning team, tasked with collecting and removing fallen leaves and associated debris from public highways, footways, parks, and public spaces. This involves sweeping and collecting leaves, loading waste onto the dustcart, and providing a professional, courteous service when interacting with the public. You will work alongside experienced street cleansing operatives as part of a team and will assist in other street cleaning tasks when required.
