Who You Are
We are looking for a person who is confident, independent, and experienced at a senior level of working with young people within a residential childcare environment. You should hold a relevant qualification for Social Care Wales registration, including a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People). Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
What the Job Involves
As a Deputy Officer in Charge at our Children’s Home in Cardiff, you will lead, inspire, and develop the staff and wellbeing of children and young people. Key responsibilities include managing and administering the home, ensuring that it meets all regulatory standards, maintaining professional competence among staff, coordinating meetings, managing budgets, and integrating with the local community. Additionally, you will ensure that children receive a sensitive service that meets their diverse needs, empower them to have a voice, and build relationships with families.

- Knowledge of The Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016
- Budget monitoring and management
