What the job involves
We are seeking a Housing Standards Officer to join our Environmental Health Service within the Public Protection and Licensing Directorate. Key responsibilities include responding to complaints regarding residential properties and housing conditions, conducting property inspections, assessing housing conditions, drafting notices, promoting compliance, investigating concerns, and maintaining records. The role requires working collaboratively within the directorate to deliver excellent customer service and improve the lives of private renters by ensuring homes are safe, free from hazards, and well managed.
