About the role
This is a highly visible, relationship-focused role requiring regular travel across Cardiff and surrounding areas to engage directly with clients, hiring managers, and supply chain partners. Through a strong onsite presence and regular face-to-face interaction, you will build trusted relationships, gain a deep understanding of client workforce requirements, and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and workforce performance.
The successful candidate will bring previous experience within a recruitment, staffing, or workforce solutions, enabling them to provide expert support, effectively manage contingent workforce requirements, and work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Success in this role will be driven by proactive client engagement, operational excellence, supply chain management, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
This role will be to attend various locations within Cardiff up to 4 times a week onsite
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management & Onsite Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients across multiple sites throughout Cardiff and surrounding locations.
- Proactively plan and conduct regular onsite visits to engage with client stakeholders, understand evolving workforce requirements, and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive support through face-to-face meetings, telephone, email, and live chat.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers, operational leaders, and key decision-makers.
- Lead and participate in regular client review meetings, presenting performance data, staffing trends, and improvement initiatives.
- Gather client feedback and implement actions that drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
Supply Chain & Stakeholder Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with recruitment suppliers and supply chain partners to ensure a high-quality candidate pipeline.
- Proactively engage suppliers to improve fulfilment performance, candidate quality, compliance standards, and responsiveness.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
- Facilitate strong communication between clients, suppliers, and Matrix operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Ensure accurate and detailed vacancy postings to attract suitable candidates.
- Monitor recruitment activity and workforce trends to ensure client staffing requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
- Manage timesheet submissions and approvals, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Guarantee 100% compliance of candidates submitted for roles in line with client and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor service performance against agreed KPIs and service level agreements.
Training & Client Support
- Deliver onsite and virtual training sessions to clients on Matrix technology and processes.
- Support clients in maximizing system utilization and understanding recruitment workflows.
- Provide guidance and best practice recommendations to improve workforce management and recruitment outcomes.
- Facilitating and setting up supplier forums in conjunction with the supplier engagement team.
- Support the On-Site Client Delivery Manager in their absence.
- Support the wider On-Site team
Commercial Performance
- Identify commercial opportunities through regular client interaction and operational insight.
- Recognize and escalate commercial anomalies and risks promptly.
- Work closely with the Client Onsite Delivery Manager/Client Relationship Manager to achieve client growth objectives and commercial targets.
- Support retention and account growth through outstanding relationship management and service delivery.
Essential Skills
· Previous experience within a Recruitment, Staffing or Workforce Solutions
· Proven ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong listening and information-gathering abilities.
· Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and multitask effectively.
· Proficiency in MS Office and other business systems.
· Analytical mindset with a strong grasp of numerical data.
· Senior Level agency recruitment market awareness
· Full clean UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly across Cardiff and surrounding areas to maintain a visible onsite presence and build strong client relationships.
Desirable Skills
· Experience in a customer success, account management, recruitment roles
· Familiarity with CRM, VMS systems, or workforce management systems.
· Knowledge of recruitment compliance and staffing regulations.
· Experience delivering client meetings, service reviews, or training sessions.
· Understanding of supplier management and contingent workforce solutions.
· Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying service improvement opportunities.
