Who You Are
Residential Childcare Workers to join our team. You will support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes within a nurturing and safe home environment.
What the job involves
- Provide person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Support young people with daily living skills, personal care, education, activities, and independence.
- Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, care plans, and handovers.
- Administer and record medication in line with policy and procedures.
- Undertake domestic duties, meal preparation, cleaning, and general home management.
- Act as a key worker and build positive relationships with families and professionals.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
Skills
- QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Knowledge of child development and childcare
- Experience in residential care or similar settings
- Support for emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Teamwork skills in a multi-disciplinary team
