Who You Are
An experienced professional with a degree in social work or community justice, registered with the HCPC, and equipped with a Level 5 Diploma in Probation Studies. You possess extensive line management experience in a youth justice setting and have substantial knowledge of legislation and effective practice in youth justice.
What the job involves
As the Team Manager for the Youth Offending Service, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and practice of your team, ensuring a uniformly high standard of service. You will handle practice and operational leadership, oversee policy development, manage complaints, and ensure compliance with statutory guidance. You will also provide expert guidance on youth justice, represent the team in external meetings, and maintain quality assurance and professional supervision for your staff. Additionally, you will contribute to program development, project work, and spearhead initiatives for the continuous improvement of the service.
