Who You Are
You are an individual with a background in adult social care, equipped with knowledge of legislative and policy frameworks such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You possess a Level 2 and/or 3 NVQ or have relevant professional experience. You have experience in purchasing, sourcing, contract management, financial management, and applying safeguarding principles. Your strong communication skills allow you to convey complex information effectively to various audiences.
What the Job Involves
The role involves managing daily brokerage activities for adult social care services, including sourcing and negotiating care packages to meet assessed needs within budget and quality standards. You will collaborate with social care professionals, providers, individuals, and their families to secure appropriate services. Responsibilities include liaising to ensure services align with care plans, facilitating patient discharge, maintaining provider relationships, and ensuring accurate data recording. You will also support continuous communication with care providers and promote safeguarding principles.
