Who You Are
We're seeking confident, experienced practitioners who are passionate about safeguarding children and committed to achieving lasting change. You will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England with experience in safeguarding and child protection work. You should be confident managing complex risk and decision-making, be relationship-focused and child-centred in your practice, and have strong assessment, analysis, and court skills.
What the job involves
Roles are available across children's social care including CP, CLA/LAC, CWD, and MASH. As an Experienced Social Worker within our Child Protection Service, you will undertake child protection and safeguarding work with children and families, lead complex assessments and interventions, and manage children subject to Child Protection Plans and Public Law Outline processes. You will develop strong, purposeful relationships with children and families, work collaboratively with partner agencies to manage risk and promote positive outcomes, contribute to service development and practice improvement, and support less experienced colleagues through sharing your expertise and knowledge. In our Cared for Children’s service, you will undertake care planning and reviews for looked after children and young people, lead complex assessments and interventions, support children and young people in understanding their life journey, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to manage risk and promote positive outcomes.
