Who You Are
You are a Social Worker skilled in working with children, young people, and their families or carers. You have experience in developing and sustaining effective relationships, conducting direct work with children and families, and engaging children and young people in decisions about their lives. You are knowledgeable about child development, family dynamics, and issues related to diversity, mental health, and disability. You understand the legal frameworks and policies related to children and young people.
What the Job Involves
This role requires planning and leading assessments of strengths, resilience, and risks while coordinating strategies and interventions. You will collaborate with children, their families, and partner agencies to review effective, outcome-focused plans. Your duties include documenting and maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and contributing to practice and service development. You will independently manage your workload under the supervision of a Team Manager and participate in team meetings and supervision sessions. Working with looked after children, you will interact closely with foster carers and providers to ensure high-quality care. Additionally, you will engage with council-provided technology and comply with relevant regulations and policies.
