What the job involves
The Property Surveyor is responsible for overseeing building and maintenance projects to ensure their timely and budget-compliant delivery. The role involves managing repair and maintenance of a large portfolio of residential properties, including identifying and addressing issues of dampness, leak detection, and preventative maintenance. The Property Surveyor will collaborate with the Area Repairs Manager and teams across the council to improve service quality and customer satisfaction, highlight investment needs, and develop strategic partnerships. Responsibilities also include leading and managing technical teams, ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, managing complaint resolutions, and financial oversight up to certain budget levels.
