Weighbridge Operator - Grade C

Who You Are

We are seeking a confident and reliable Weighbridge Operator to join our busy team on a temporary basis in the first instance, with the potential for extension following review. This role requires someone who works well as part of a team and has strong customer service skills. The successful candidate must be organised, focused, able to retain information, and work efficiently under pressure. Excellent keyboard and data entry skills are essential.

What the Job Involves

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm. The role involves:

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers and providing excellent customer service.
• Ensuring waste compliance with current legislation, environmental permits, and site regulations.
• Recording and managing vehicle type, waste, and account data using IT systems.
• Supporting managers and colleagues with administrative tasks.
• Handling cash transactions, ensuring appropriate payments are received, and undertaking banking duties.
• Producing letters, reports, and other statistical and confidential information.
• Promoting compliance with relevant legislation through careful decision-making and customer interaction.
