Weighbridge Operator - Grade C

Who You Are

We are seeking a confident and reliable Weighbridge Operator to join our busy team on a temporary basis, with the potential for extension following review. This role requires someone who works well as part of a team and has strong customer service skills. You must be organized, focused, able to retain information, and work efficiently under pressure. Excellent keyboard and data entry skills are essential.

What the Job Involves

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal complaints
• Ensuring accepted waste complies with current legislation, environmental permits, and site regulations
• Recording vehicle type, waste, and account data, and checking input statistics
• Providing administrative support to managers and colleagues
• Handling finance responsibilities, including ensuring appropriate payments are received
• Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone, handling queries, and ensuring paperwork is correct
• Enforcing site regulations and waste acceptance protocols
• Handling cash, ordering office supplies, and conducting daily banking duties
• Producing letters, reports, statistical, and confidential information
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and adherence to customer standards
