Who You Are

You are an individual with experience in highly administrative roles, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a capacity to build good working relationships. You have a strong aptitude for managing, tracking, and prioritizing workloads to meet statutory timescales and have effective written and verbal communication skills with good accuracy. You have excellent knowledge and application of IT systems and software, and a willingness to learn new skills and database systems. You hold a GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.

What the Job Involves

As an Assistant SEND Case Officer, you will work alongside the SEND Casework Officers to prepare and oversee the implementation of children's and young people's EHCPs and annual reviews. You will assist Casework Officers by providing proactive frontline support while they retain overall case responsibility. You’ll support the SEN team in administering the EHC needs assessment process, maintaining effective databases, and ensuring all information is current. Additional tasks consistent with the job description may be required to ensure the effective operations of the SEN Team. The role demands flexibility, a positive attitude, and adaptability to service needs.
