Who You Are
You are an individual with a recognized JNC Youth Work qualification or equivalent. You possess knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, as well as current legislation related to children, young people, and families, including those who offend. You have demonstrable experience working with children, families, and young people, with a capacity to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.
What the job involves
The role involves supporting the needs and development of children and young people at risk of offending, family breakdown, homelessness, sexual, and criminal exploitation. You will build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families, developing and delivering new ideas and activities. Responsibilities include making referrals to support services, promoting learning experiences, and working collaboratively with partner agencies. You will support children on reparation projects and ensure compliance with regulations. You must be flexible, able to work evenings and weekends, and actively engage in personal and professional development.
