Who You Are
You are a qualified professional with a strong background in fleet management and vehicle maintenance. You hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage and have a City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in motor vehicle technology. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you are knowledgeable about managing the technical, legal, and commercial aspects of operating a mixed fleet of municipal vehicles.
What the Job Involves
As a Service Manager - Fleet, you will take full operational responsibility for delivering compliant vehicle maintenance, fleet management, MOT station, and transport service functions across the Council. You will be responsible for overseeing the Operator Licence, ensuring health and safety compliance, managing associated budgets, and leading strategic improvements in fleet management. Your role includes fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring service standards are upheld, and implementing innovative solutions to meet the Council's strategic and corporate objectives.
