You are a proactive Diagnostic Surveyor with a thorough understanding of building inspections and repair responsibilities. You possess strong analytical skills, have a good working knowledge of legislation, Building Regulations, and are committed to high-quality service provision.
What the Job Involves
The Diagnostic Surveyor is responsible for visiting customers in their homes to identify and diagnose defects that are the Council's responsibility to repair. Key duties include assessing condensation cases, managing subsidence and structural failure cases, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings to the High Value Repair Panel. The role also involves quality assurance checks, monitoring works on site, managing project budgets, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, and advising on system development. As part of the job, you will work closely with the Legal Disrepair and Diagnostics Manager to develop repair service policies and procedures.
