What the job involves
Hiab Driver/Electrician Assistants help install the street lighting and signage around North Yorkshire for NY Highways. The role includes groundworks like digging, reinstatement, tarmac, flags, block paving, installing lighting columns and roadside assets, operating Class 2 LGVs with HIAB lifting equipment, setting up traffic management, and supporting electricians with basic tasks both underground and above ground. Note that the majority of this role involves excavation works.
Skills
- Experience in groundworks, utilities or excavation
- Safe digging and underground services knowledge
- LGV/HGV Class 2 licence
- Vehicle mounted crane certificate
