Who You Are As a Property Standards and Empty Homes Officer, you will focus on improving housing quality across all tenures within Elmbridge Borough Council. You will be responsible for reducing the number of empty properties and ensuring compliance with housing standards in collaboration with the Housing Standards Manager.

What the job involves The role involves conducting inspections of residential properties and caravan sites, addressing housing disrepair complaints, and enforcing relevant legislation. You will promote the reduction of empty homes and collaborate with tenants, landlords, and internal departments to improve housing conditions. Additionally, you will maintain housing records, support legal proceedings, and contribute to the council's housing initiatives.
