Role

Who You Are

  • Educated to A-level or equivalent, with relevant training in customer service, community engagement or sustainability
  • Experience in project support or coordination, ideally within public service or environmental context
  • Knowledge of waste management, recycling services, or environmental sustainability (desirable)
  • Strong organisational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and proactive with a can-do attitude, able to lead and collaborate effectively
  • Committed to customer service and improving local environmental outcomes

What the job involves

To support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of NLWA’s contamination reduction and recycling education plan as per contractual requirements. This involves project management support, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and schedule planning to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.

  • Development and delivery of the authority’s contamination reduction and recycling education plan
  • Organise and supervise the recycling advisor team, coordinating tasks and preparing reports
  • Gather, analyse, and present data to inform decision-making
  • Engage in communication activities and liaise with internal teams and external contractors
  • Coordinate delivery of team schedules to achieve objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate service trials and pilots, reporting on outcomes
  • Support Strategy & Services Team to improve waste and recycling services
