Role

Who You Are An experienced professional with a strong background in customer service, particularly in high-pressure environments and with vulnerable individuals. You possess a good understanding of current housing, immigration, and related legislation, along with knowledge of health and safety and equal opportunities policies.

What the Job Involves The Allocation Officer is responsible for managing the housing register and determining eligibility for potential tenants. You will ensure that all allocations meet statutory requirements, performance indicators, and targets. The role involves delivering a comprehensive housing allocations service, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with council policies. You will handle applications, conduct home visits, and ensure information provided to new tenants is updated and accurate. The position also requires the identification and implementation of potential service improvements.
