Who You Are

You are a Youth Justice Service Officer committed to working with children from diverse backgrounds, aiming to reduce offending and support their personal and social development. You have a strong ability to engage with children and families, manage cases effectively, and work collaboratively with multiple agencies.

What the job involves

As a Youth Justice Officer for St Helens, you will manage a caseload of children, working to reduce reoffending, first-time entrants, and unnecessary criminalization of children. You will perform comprehensive assessments and develop personalized interventions. Your role involves representing the Youth Justice Service in youth courts and contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators. You'll also support colleagues, lead on specialist areas, and participate in quality assurance and audit processes.
