Who You Are
We are looking for an Environmental Health Officer at Ashfield District Council, located in Nottinghamshire. The ideal candidate will have a Bsc(H) or Masters in Environmental Health and must be registered with EHORB or hold CIEH Certification. You should have demonstrable experience in auditing and inspecting Category C-E food business premises.
What the job involves
The role involves working 22 hours a week as part of a small team of EHOs in the commercial EH team for an initial 6-month period. You will perform food hygiene inspections of Category C-E risk-rated premises and newly registered food businesses, focusing on various risk factors. Reporting, inspections, and possibly initial investigations into food complaints are part of the responsibilities. The job emphasizes a graduated approach to enforcement, focusing on education.
