What the job involves
As a Social Worker with Somerset County Council's Assessment team in Sedgemoor, you will complete Child and Family Assessments and work with families until they are transitioned to alternative services or the Safeguarding teams. You will engage in direct work with children, young people, and their families, focusing on understanding their experiences and encouraging positive changes. The role includes regular personal and group supervision, as well as collaboration with skilled team managers and adult-focused practitioners for support and advice.
