Who You Are

This role requires a professional with a relevant qualification in early years or education to a minimum of level 3. You should have an in-depth understanding of early years and childcare legislation and guidance, extensive knowledge of child development for children under 5, and experience in a management capacity within an Ofsted registered early years setting. You must have a track record of delivering high-quality, inclusive provision, as well as experience working collaboratively with various professionals and agencies.

What the job involves

You will be responsible for holding a caseload of early years settings in a specific locality, providing targeted support and challenge. The role involves offering specialist advice, training, and support to early years managers and practitioners on all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage to secure continuous quality improvement. You will facilitate networks and collaborations across different services, support the inclusion of all children, and engage early years providers in early interventions and initiatives. You will also conduct site visits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, monitor and evaluate interventions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and legislation.
