We have recently acquired a business from Capita Plc, namely Security Watchdog. They provide
technology platforms into the UK recruitment market to perform DBS checks and pre-employment
screening for both permanent and temporary recruitment for a variety of organisations across the UK.
Matrix is based in Milton Keynes and Security Watchdog in Basingstoke, with a total employee count
of approximately 375 brilliant people.
The role is hybrid with a minimum 2 days a week required in the office.
THE ROLE
The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of an effective and compliant supply chain and to
create successful working relationships with our suppliers to promote high performance.
The Supplier Relationship Manager role will focus on the following key priorities:
• Successfully onboarding new suppliers, as part of the client implementation process
• Working with other departments to maximise service delivery to our clients
• Building successful working relationships with both new and existing suppliers
• Maintaining a high-quality supply chain through reporting and monitoring adherence to our
contractual requirements
• Making changes to supplier tiering, which may include removing suppliers from the supply
chain completely
Core activities will include but are not limited to:
• Resolving BAU queries and issues from suppliers
• Enrolment of new suppliers as part of the client implementation process, ensuring
documents are produced accurately and on time
• Researching and identifying suppliers that can deliver an excellent service to our clients,
especially for hard to fill roles
• Hosting introduction meetings with groups of potential suppliers, who want to learn more
about Matrix
• For some clients you may have to facilitate a tender process and update the suppliers of the
outcome
• Building strong working relationships with our key suppliers, which will include meeting with
them face to face on a regular basis
• Supplier performance management - arranging individual supplier review meetings to
discuss overall performance. For some clients this may also include conducting quarterly KPI reviews
• Assisting with supplier audits and flagging issues to other departments, such as poor
performance or issues with candidate quality
• Attending meetings with key client stakeholders and keeping them updated on the supply
chain and overall performance
• Creating reports with recommendations on proposed changes to the supply chain and
actions to improve performance
• Event planning and delivery
ABOUT YOU
You will have:
• A personable approach with the ability to develop successful working relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication (face to face, phone and email)
• Confidence in presenting to groups of key stakeholders
• Ability to work in a team and be comfortable with cross department engagement
• A keen eye for detail and be methodical in approach
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask
• Previous successful customer service, account management or sales experience within a
busy environment
