What the job involves
The main purpose of the social worker role is to provide a professional social work service to adults, their families, and carers in line with the requirements of the Care Act 2014. The role involves assisting individuals, carers, and families by completing strength-based assessments and support plans which identify personal, community strengths, and universal services. The job requires a holistic approach, integrating with all relevant professionals, and using a strength-based, person-centered approach to develop creative solutions for independent living. Responsibilities include encouraging the use of direct payments, making ongoing assessments of need and risk, and identifying and processing any safeguarding and quality of care issues.
