Who You Are
You have at least six months of relevant experience, either paid or unpaid, in supporting people with complex needs, including learning difficulties, complex health needs, or low/medium level needs that challenge mainstream services. You possess a relevant qualification, such as NVQ level 2, or are willing to undertake and complete it within specified timescales.
What the job involves
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide community support to individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs, assisting them in becoming active participants within their community. You will operate under the direction of senior staff and deal with routine issues, escalating when necessary. The role includes operating complex tools, identifying and addressing equipment faults, and overseeing financial transactions to ensure efficient resource use. You will also procure goods and services and allocate tasks to junior staff.
