Who You Are
The role is ideal for someone with a couple of years of experience, particularly in property law. You should be comfortable drafting agreements and dealing with housing redevelopment schemes from start to finish. The position requires someone capable of working in-office initially, with flexibility for remote work later. Experience in Right to Buy and other residential transactions is beneficial.
What the job involves
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the planning and property lawyers in delivering high-quality legal services within the Planning and Development team at Southwark Council. You will handle tasks related to landlord and tenant matters, draft and negotiate planning agreements, and support senior lawyers on various projects including inquiries and judicial reviews. You'll be involved in researching and assisting with title investigations, due diligence reports, and housing redevelopment schemes.
