An experienced officer who can manage complex homelessness cases with minimal supervision. You have strong decision-writing skills and can interpret legislation, case law, and statutory guidance effectively.
What the job involves
The Cessation of Duty (COD) Officer is responsible for managing homelessness cases and making legally robust decisions about the discharge and cessation of statutory housing duties. This includes determining the lawfulness of ending statutory duties, conducting legal inquiries, identifying gaps in evidence, and reviewing complex cases in compliance with relevant housing laws and guidelines.
