You are a technically accomplished Building Control professional with significant experience in managing complex developments and advising stakeholders on Building Regulations compliance. You are self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working independently while contributing positively to a high-performing team. You possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

What the job involves

This role involves managing and evaluating a portfolio of construction projects, including complex commercial developments and higher-risk buildings. You will review plans and specifications to assess compliance with Building Regulations and conduct site inspections throughout all stages of construction. The role requires providing Building Control advice via multiple channels, undertaking specialist technical assessments, assessing dangerous structures, and initiating enforcement actions as needed. You will also liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
