Who You Are
An experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer with significant experience in handling S16 cases and advising on Deprivation of Liberty Applications. You have expertise in advising and representing in Deputyship and the interrelation of Mental Health legislation in Adult Social Care Proceedings.
What the job involves
The role involves covering an increase in workload related to S16 and S21a applications. You will advise and represent the client department in Deprivation of Liberty Applications and Deputyship, and work on the interrelation of Mental Health legislation in proceedings. Supporting junior staff and collaborating with lawyers is also part of the job.
Skills
- Significant experience with S16 cases
- Experience in multi-agency risk meetings
- Advice on ordinary residence
- Understanding of AGNI implications on Re X cases
- Ability to work independently
