Who You Are
You are someone with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including maths and English. You may have a qualification in a housing-related subject. You possess knowledge of data protection requirements and principles of confidentiality, and an understanding of social housing management or frontline housing services. Experience in dealing with people using various communication methods and proficiency in using databases and Microsoft IT packages is essential. You have worked with the public, liaised with stakeholders, and possibly interacted with registered social landlords.
What the job involves
This role involves assisting the Private Sector Housing Initiatives Manager and team in managing temporary accommodation for homeless households. Responsibilities include supporting the provision of housing management services, collecting and collating management information, and serving as a maintenance point of contact. You will assist in procuring and booking emergency accommodation, managing financial processes like housing benefit claims, and monitoring rent charges. Additional tasks involve creating reports, attending meetings, ensuring health and safety compliance, and contributing to the Council's policies and procedures.
