What the job involves
The Senior Social Worker in the Adult Safeguarding Hub is responsible for ensuring quality safeguarding work in accordance with the Care Act 2014. This includes supervising and supporting staff, managing safeguarding concerns, leading organisational abuse enquiries, and contributing to quality assurance in a safeguarding context. The role requires acting as a Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM) in enquiries and chairing various meetings to support the safeguarding framework.
Skills
- Social Work qualification and HCPC registration
- Experience with Adult Safeguarding issues and legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong risk assessment and analytical abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in IT, including Word and Outlook
- Experience in delivering supervision and training
