What the job involves
The Housing Assessments Officer is responsible for conducting thorough homelessness assessments in compliance with legal statutes, particularly the Housing Act 1996. Responsibilities include making defensible decisions, preventing and alleviating homelessness, handling inquiries, and producing detailed reports. You will support junior staff development and maintain service quality through collaboration and best practices within the Housing Needs and Support division.
