You are a dedicated individual with a strong understanding of coronial law who can assist HM Senior Coroner and the Area and Assistant Coroners in managing complex cases. You possess sensitivity and integrity while working with bereaved families and have experience managing a small team. You are customer-focused, can organize your workload effectively, and are adept at building relationships across various departments.
What the job involves
The role involves supporting the coroner in investigating and managing unknown, violent, and sudden deaths. You will manage a personal caseload, including conducting offsite visits, organizing pre-inquest hearings, and liaising with various stakeholders. You will ensure adherence to statutory requirements, document all communications, and operate efficiently within the coronial law framework. In addition, you will support the Administration Team and guide a small team of coroner's officers.
