What the job involves
Your role involves maximizing rental income and recovery of properties while adhering to housing procedures and legal frameworks. You will represent the council in County Court, prepare court documents, and support possession claims. The job also entails preventing rent arrears through campaigns, early intervention, and effective recovery actions. Working closely with the Housing & Benefits team, you will ensure holistic housing management services and improved collection. Additionally, you will develop debt recovery processes, manage resources, and engage with tenants, promoting effective payment methods and negotiating payment arrangements. Your responsibilities include collaboration with third parties and council teams to support tenants, considering their individual circumstances and vulnerabilities.
