Who You Are
You are an experienced individual with a strong understanding and working knowledge of the legislation that underpins the Youth Justice System. You possess a good understanding of approaches to young people's development and the purposes and methods of social and informal education within the youth justice context. You are proficient in case management and have substantial experience working with vulnerable young people, including those at risk of offending, and collaborating with their families.
What the job involves
This role involves managing a case load of youth justice cases, working directly with young people from diverse backgrounds and engaging them and their families. You will assess, develop, and deliver interventions and activities that support their personal and social skills. Responsibilities include assessing risks, creating bespoke intervention plans, working within a multidisciplinary team, participating in court duties, and maintaining case management records.
