About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Agency Lead Practitioner to join our Adult Localities Service and provide immediate practice leadership across a busy operational team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and confident social worker with significant experience in managing complex adult social care cases, safeguarding concerns, Mental Capacity Act work, and Court of Protection proceedings. The successful candidate will bring expertise, resilience and professional leadership to support frontline practitioners while directly managing a small number of high-risk and complex cases.
Key Responsibilities • Hold a caseload of complex and high-risk cases requiring advanced social work intervention. • Lead on Court of Protection applications and proceedings. • Provide expert advice and guidance to practitioners. • Support risk management and complex decision-making. • Undertake audits and quality assurance activity. • Mentor and coach colleagues.
Essential Requirements • Social Work England registration. • Significant Adult Social Care experience. • Experience of complex casework, safeguarding and Court of Protection work. • Strong knowledge of Care Act, MCA and safeguarding legislation.
