Who You Are
We are seeking a highly skilled and confident social worker to join our Adult Localities Service as an Agency Lead Practitioner. You will have significant experience in managing complex adult social care cases, safeguarding concerns, Mental Capacity Act work, and Court of Protection proceedings. You are resilient and possess professional leadership qualities to support frontline practitioners, effectively managing a small number of high-risk and complex cases.
What the Job Involves
You will be responsible for holding a caseload of complex and high-risk cases that require advanced social work intervention. Your duties include leading on Court of Protection applications and proceedings, providing expert advice and guidance to practitioners, supporting risk management and complex decision-making, undertaking audits and quality assurance activity, and mentoring and coaching colleagues.
Skills
- Social Work England registration
- Significant Adult Social Care experience
- Experience of complex casework, safeguarding, and Court of Protection work
- Strong knowledge of Care Act, MCA, and safeguarding legislation
- Visible practice leadership
