The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Health Triage &
Enforcement Coordinator to join our successful Public Health and Housing
team based in Braintree, Essex.
The post holder will enhance the Public Health and Housing department in
Braintree District, by carrying out initial triage of investigations, and
assessing and coordinating case management for the Team.
This includes administering and co-ordinating Environment Health responses
to tenants and landlord referrals arising from the Renters Rights Act 2025.
This post will act as a key liaison between Environment Health, the Housing
Department and the Street Scene Enforcement Team.
You will be supporting effective enforcement, promoting safe and healthy
housing conditions and will be part of the team that ensures that the
Council is fulfilling its new statutory duties relating to the new Act to
tenants and landlords in the district
Job Accountabilities
Experience:
You will need have excellent customer service skills, with a constructive,
flexible approach and keen to learn new skills to provide and maintain high
levels of performance.
