Role

Who You Are

You possess extensive SEN knowledge, including the SEN Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014. You have a strong understanding of Camden’s SEND policies, national guidance, and legislation. You are capable of managing sensitive situations, negotiating with educational institutions, and coordinating with health and social care providers. Your experience includes writing EHC plans, leading meetings, and maintaining effective record-keeping systems. You are committed to ensuring the voice of children and families is central in decision-making and are proactive in driving improvements using data and feedback.

What the Job Involves

As a SEND Case Officer, you will develop and maintain Education Health and Care Plans. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and key partners to ensure that children and young people receive appropriate education and provision aligned with their needs. Your responsibilities include managing a case load, coordinating service provision, and engaging with educational settings across Camden. This role involves traveling to meetings and maintaining high standards of planning, assessment quality, and reviews. You will support the coordination of panels and provide mentoring to SENCos, focusing on positive outcomes for children with SEND.
