You are an expert in welfare and housing policies, deeply knowledgeable about the Homelessness Reduction Act, and familiar with homelessness case laws and practices. You understand the intricacies of court processes, including possession orders and evictions, and possess specialized knowledge in homelessness decision-making. Your background includes safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, aligning with strategies aimed at resilience and housing sustainment.
What the Job Involves
As a Homeless Housing Coordinator, you will be an integral member of the Families or Singles Team. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with courts, solicitors, and Enfield’s legal department to prevent homelessness. You will provide expert advice to applicants at risk of or facing homelessness, striving to ensure they either maintain their current accommodations or move into suitable private rentals. Additionally, you will engage with partners to enhance housing sustainment and resilience in accordance with Enfield’s Early Help strategy, aiming to minimize reliance on temporary accommodations and reduce street homelessness.
