Voids Surveyor (PO1)

Who You Are

We are looking for a motivated and driven professional with experience in the rehabilitation of void properties within the Social Housing sector. You will work with a team of surveyors and letting officers to assist in achieving the corporate void turnaround times.

What the Job Involves

• Carry out void surveys
• Visit void properties for pre and post inspections
• Write specifications using schedule of rates
• Ensure empty homes are let to a high standard in minimum turnaround time
• Manage the works process for voids, working closely and effectively with contractors and other stakeholders
• Monitor contractor performance in terms of both quality and value for money
• Utilize relevant IT systems to ensure that the reporting and data for performance management is accurate

This role focuses primarily on post-inspection/Clerk of Works.

Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Experience in responsive maintenance and voids management
• Knowledge of maintenance schedules and housing repairs legislation
• Ability to manage work programs on time and within budget
• IT proficiency for reporting and data management
